General Manager 5 - Food

Sodexo is seeking for a General Manager / Food Service Director for a large acute care hospital in Jackson, MS area. The General Manager / Food Service Director at this location will be responsible in managing all contract management service operation, manage 140 employees and a managed volume of 8.5 million in unit managed volume annually. The General Manager will have an active role in managing all contract management of the operations, finance / cost control / customer service, responsible for the planning, organizing and the operations of all the dinning services. Reporting to the District Manager, the ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in a Food Service Management / Operations Manager / Food Service Director, training and developing professional staff, coordinating customer service programs, and related experience in managing/ meeting budgets in health care facility. Position Summary: Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account. Basic Education Requirement: Associate's Degree Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 3 year(s) of lead/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience Required: 4 year(s) You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
