Job Purpose:
Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff as well as planning and evaluating department activities.
Duties:
* Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
* Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
* Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.

The Jamba Story
First there was a blender.
But before that, there was Jamba inspiration! Fruit — delicious, good-for-you food. Remember juicy orange slices during soccer games, fresh strawberries from the patch, summertime-perfect blueberries, and raspberries that taste like a treat? We do too!
Fruit is definitely the good stuff in life — and that’s how Jamba came to be. It’s simple, really — we love food. It sustains us, feeds our bodies, nourishes our minds and makes us healthy and whole. Best of all, it tastes good!
When you eat something that tastes delicious, you smile — but when it’s good for you too, word tends to get around quickly. Did it ever! In 1990, we opened our first store in San Luis Obispo — it was called Juice Club. We had tons of passion and an unquenchable thirst for good nutrition, which kept the creative juices flowing! Our founders planted our roots — our vision came from Kirk Perron, creativity from Linda Ozawa Olds, customer kindness from Kevin Peters and natural wisdom from Joe Vergara. We built Juice Club with our own hearts and hands, from sourcing the very best fruits to building our first store from scratch.
It was a lot of work, but eventually we found the right mix: made-to-order smoothies, fresh-squeezed juices, and an incredible team dedicated to dreaming up and creating fruity, good-for-you concoctions! As our popularity grew, Juice Club became part of the community, but we never could have done it without friends and neighbors and most of all — you. So we gave back, dedicating portions of our profits to local events, charities, and organizations we believed in — it was only natural. And our involvement in grassroots events and sponsorships has grown from there!
A few years later, in 1993, we opened our second and third stores in Northern and Southern California. During that time, healthy eating became a choice to live better — soon, it became the Juice Club philosophy! In 1995, we decided we wanted to stand out from the rest so we celebrated our journey and changed our name to Jamba Juice. Our new name signaled the Jamba Juice difference — our commitment to providing nutritious, vibrant foods that make you feel good and stand out — naturally — from the rest.
Since then, we’ve grown by leaps and bounds, but our philosophy is still the same: we want to provide choices you can feel good about and to celebrate the flavors of life! Your smiles keep us going — improving, dreaming, creating and offering new “good-for-you” products.
Today, we have hundreds of stores from New York to Hawaii, but our dream is still quite simple: to make healthy living delicious, nutritious, and fun!
