Currently, we are looking for qualified, diverse individuals to apply for the following position:Purpose of Role:This position is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of processes to support the collection of all item information prior to the electronic transmission from Mars Snackfood to their trading partners via the GS1 Global Data Sync Network.  This position interacts with the Activity Management Process for new item / withdrawn items, the Price Value Ratio process for weight related changes, Packaging & Specifications for packaging changes and Data Management for the collection of all data attributes.This position also works closely with the Sales Account Team to confirm which items to synchronize. Principal Accountabilities·  Participate on all Activity Management System Activities that impact Item Data Collection·  Collect additional ‘customer specific’ data attributes to the item information·  Update item information, as necessary·  Prepare item information prior to GDSN Validation·  Analyze complex Data Accuracy / Trade Item initiatives as they relate to Mars Snackfood US.  Determine impact to the business and assist in the  design for development done by Mars Information Services.·  Develop data related functional specs for the Product Information Manager tool, to be used by the Global Template team.·  Analyze and recommend solutions for unique Item Data Collection situations in order to improve processes.·  Deliver presentations for Item Data Collection developed initiatives.·  Act as Item Data Accuracy liaison between internal and external customers.  Understand Item Data Collection processes and translate information specific to GDS into language understood at all levels of the business.·  Develop and provide necessary GS1 Data Accuracy training/education to Customer Care, Sales, Data, R&D, etc…  Create ‘desk manual’ encompassing all Mars Snackfood Item Data Collection processes / technologies.·  Confirm Item data accuracy, via data quality procedures Key Experiences/SkillsStrong interpersonal skills, negotiationg skills,  influencing skills and communication skills (both verbal and written)Demonstrated analytical skillsMust be a proven team player Must exercise good judgment and exhibit a professional demeanor in the management and resolution of problems.Must be able to work with minimal supervisionMust be very adaptable to change, as the GS1 / GDSN environment is in continual flux.Ability to handle multiple activities/responsibilities with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.Ability to manage other peoples time.GS1 GTIN StandardsGDSN Standards / Guidelines / Schemas / Data ModelsSA2 World Sync guidelinesGS1 PeriodicalsNational Sales Bulletins  GS1 ConferencesActivity Management SystemPromotion Fact Sheets  GS1 Data Sync conceptsGTIN Allocation RulesGDSN design and operation principles.GDSN data schemas / attributesThird party data pool provider (SA2 World Sync)High initiative and self-starter.Business AcumenProject ManagementProficient with personal computers (PCs).Knowledge of capabilities of Internet and Web / XML.On-the-Job training.Communication with associated departments and sister units.Attending department team building meetings, workshops and courses.Job related periodicals.Minimum Qualifications: Two years in Supply Chain, Customer Care, or SalesHigh school diploma or GEDMicrosoft Office experience required (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Must be willing to work overtime and travel (20%) as required.Successful completion of a drug and background screen Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience Logistics and/or Customer Service2+ years in e-Commerce / EDI / Reference Data / Master Data Management environment, or similar area2-3 years experience working with SAP/R3 or any Master Data Management solutionAssociates or Bachelors degree preferred; General Studies/Business Inventory management experience Knowledge of EDI Knowledge of SAP  Company-paid relocation is not available for this position. As a privately-held, family-owned company, Mars North America offers benefits which reflect our commitment to attracting and retaining great people.
