Position Summary:

Reporting to the Art Director, the Junior Graphic Designer is an entry level position assisting the Creative Department in developing engaging and innovative design solutions based on conceptual brand strategies for spirit brands. The position is responsible for supporting effective design which promotes brand integrity and helps ensure premium product positioning in the marketplace. The Junior Graphic Designer works on and helps manage printed graphics for Point Of Sale (“POS”) materials. The Junior Graphic Designer assists with job trafficking and maintenance of digital assets on both our intranet and internet sites.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and Creative Works with field sales on custom POS projects (Centiv); scanning and digitizing logos. Assists with art creation, materials selection and secondary package design. Aids in the translation of brand strategies and marketing objectives into design materials.

Job Processing and Support Collaborate with other design team members in continuously elevating the overall design work product. Liaise with brand teams, art department and vendors as required to manage the job trafficking process ensuring successful completion of job orders. 

Administration and other Maintain digital assets on both our intranet and internet sites Processes Fedex shipments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Bachelor’s Degree Design-related course work Art portfolio that demonstrates creative thinking and logo/brand design work is a plus Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) Basic understanding of print production methods and web-based media Ability work on multiple projects within specified deadlines in a fast paced environment. Proficient in all design related Macintosh software Maintains up-to-date knowledge of design trends Familiar with Distilled Spirits Counsel of the U.S. (“DISCUS”) and beverage alcohol laws and regulations (will train) Professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, retail reps and consumers

Preferred Experience: 2-3 years experience in all design related Macintosh software  A strong portfolio with internship experience An ability to work well with the creative team and vendors
