Reports to: Brand Manager, Sauza Basic function: Industry expert in the Sauza category focused on training and educating our customers (Retailers & Bartenders), our partners (Distributors) and consumers at the regional and local level on key product based messages (own and competitor portfolio) as a formal representative for the brand and distillery. Work with U.S. Brand Team, Regional Marketing and Public Relations teams to identify opportunities to optimize relevant Sauza portfolio representation & performance with key retail customers, across appropriate media vehicles and with the Distributor Sales teams within geographical area of responsibility as an industry and category leader. Utilize local market and category knowledge to provide input to and support of Local, Regional and National brand / portfolio plans, strategies and tactics. This includes the ongoing collation and submission of relevant competitor information. Develop and deliver comprehensive tailored training and education on all aspects of Sauza Category: its history, production techniques, key brands (own and others) and how to optimize commercial contribution from the category and our brands - to the Distributor, Trade, media, consumer and Portfolio Specialists. Identify, establish and foster strong, positive, collaborative relationships with key industry influencers / gatekeepers at consumer, trade or media level within geographical area of responsibility. Establish reputation for and be recognized as an industry and category expert based on Sauza category, industry and local market knowledge. As a credible, objective category expert this role will become a sought out source of information and advice for key customers (internal and external) & media representatives as evidenced by: Brand and portfolio performance PR and Media interactions Tasting & Educational Forums Consumer Relationship Events Special Events Be viewed as an extension of the distillery and a foremost expert, similar to a Master Sommelier, of the category, industry and products. Establish and maintain open communications and close working relationships with all critical departments, BGSW U.S. Marketing, Future Brands LLC., BGSW Sales Training Dept., key retailers, distributors and bartenders. Ability to track, measure and evaluate brand and market performance, as identified in brand scope of work, against assigned key performance indicators. Effectively manage approved budgets and schedule. Bachelors Degree. Minimum 4-6 years experience in Spirits Industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
