Inventory Analyst

Peapod by Giant is an interactive, online grocery shopping/delivery service. We presently are seeking an Inventory Analyst for our Gaithersburg, MD facility in Montgomery County.

INVENTORY ANALYST
The Inventory Analyst position will review item movement for optimum space allocations; review item placement to improve shopper efficiency; evaluate items for improved ordering patterns such as pallet buys to maximize receiving and stocking productivity; and will slot new items as needed.  The position will also review system data for accurate slot capacities; work with purchasing to plan placement changes needed for increases in volume due to promotional or seasonal demand; review item placement to optimize items per tote; and will communicate items that appear to have excessively low or high levels of inventory or are not selling. 

High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years experience in Inventory Control or Logistics required. Must have knowledge of RF systems and PC based ordering/inventory systems. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, knowledge of Microsoft Access and proficiency in Lotus and Microsoft Outlook is essential. Knowledge of P3, MDS, and Giant system preferred, but not required.
