Inventory Coordinator for Tri-Valley Beverage

Tri-Valley Beverage of Westmoreland, NY – a member of the L. Knife & Son, Inc. family of wholesale beverage distributors – is an award winning wholesale beer distributor. Our primary focus is to effectively sell, merchandise and promote our Anheuser-Busch portfolio of beers while continuing to grow our market share with our import brands.

 

We have an excellent opportunity in our Operation’s Department.  The Inventory Coordinator position will be responsible for ensuring that correct product is properly received, recorded, stored, and rotated in the warehouse.  This individual needs to possess a creative, analytical mind but also be willing to get their hands dirty assisting on the delivery trucks or within the warehouse. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Daily

· Input of all inventory transactions (receipts, breakage, OOC, shrinkage etc)

· Communicate all problems/issues/Out of stocks, overstocks, understocks, etc. to department managers

· Monitoring of out of stock products

· Bill inter-company freight as necessary

· Check and verify Bills of Lading

 

Weekly

· Forecast of Anheuser-Busch sales

· Count physical inventory and update computer

· Review inventory levels to adjust for under and overstocked items

· Review and prioritize 60 day report

· Coordinate inventory transfers with other wholesalers as appropriate

 

Monthly

· Forecast non-Anheuser-Busch sales

· Place orders with suppliers

· Communicate forecast with sales manager

· Negotiate and set up freight

· Send supplier depletion reports as needed

 

Other

· Record and file freight claims

· Schedule delivery appointments from out of pattern shippers

· Serve as a backup to warehouse manager as needed

· Check in and out delivery trucks

· Assist on special projects as needed

· Manage and organize breakage and repacking of product

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to work independently

· BA/BS in a business related major or pertinent experience

· Excellent communication ability

· Proven computer skills including spreadsheet design and word processing

 

CRITICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Sufficient manual dexterity to operate business equipment including, but not limited to, computer keyboard, telephone, adding machine and copier

· Climbing stairs and inclined surfaces on an occasional basis

· Walking on hard surfaces on a frequent basis

· Occasional exposure to temperatures ranging from 30 - 100 degrees F on a seasonal basis

· Two handed lifting of up to 40 pounds from floor to shoulder height on an occasional basis
