Inventory Planning Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for managing product supply across the enterprise by meeting customer service and supply chain objectives for multiple business areas Analyze and determine replenishment requirements to insure available inventory for sourced finished goods Create truckload inter-company shipments maximizing warehouse shipping and receiving efficiencies Allocate available production to distribution centers for push distribution environments covering customer orders, inter-company orders, safety stock and forecast Act as single point of contact for customer service in identifying supply solution alternatives Manage deployment activities in support of special projects and acquisitions Analyze and determine rules for inventory and replenishment plans that support customer service while minimizing supply chain costs Facilitate the review and resolution of potential inventory shortages Identify root cause for product stock-outs. Monitor inventory levels of sourced items and identify opportunities for inventory reduction Coordinate effectively with Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Product Development and Plant Operations in order to achieve maximum use of capacity and resources.   Education Bachelor’s Degree is required.

 

Experience & Skills 3 – 5 years of experience in inventory management and/or supply chain or equivalent, food industry a plus. Must have ERP systems and MS Office experience and knowledge with the ability to build and manage systems and procedures in forecasting and sales and operations planning. Experience leading projects is preferred Strong leadership abilities; fair in his/her dealings with people; energetic, approachable, friendly and fun.  The mental toughness to handle challenging opportunities and make difficult decisions  Strong negotiation and influencing skills to operate in an environment with significant cross functional collaboration.  A “do what it takes” attitude who is not afraid to roll up his/her sleeves and get work done without a large staff. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening); analytical problem solving skills, with a common sense and practical solutions orientation High energy level to thrive in a fast paced environment Desire and ability to identify improvement opportunities
