Junior Accountant - Route Settlement

Odwalla, Inc. is the leading national brand of nourishing food products, including fresh juices, nutritionally fortified juice blends, food bars, and spring water. We are currently seeking a full-time Junior Accountant – Route Settlement to work in our Sales & Operations Accounts Department at our company headquarters, located in Half Moon Bay.

 

As the Junior Accountant – Route Settlement, you will:

 

·  Reconcile cashier, driver and customer A/R balances on a daily basis and record necessary adjustments.

·  Perform daily sales validation for Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and perform daily review of COD cashier batches.  Work with 0perations personnel to resolve daily sales reporting and cashiering issues.

·  Assist in preparation of weekly report to operations’ management on uncollected COD sales.

·  Perform daily audit to verify receipt of COD sales in bank and maintain daily scorecard documenting timeliness of banking.

·  Maintain daily scorecard documenting timeliness of receipt of route settlement paperwork.

·  Assist in research and correction of COD customer invoicing errors.

·  Contact bank for back up for all unknown cash receipts.

·  Prepare customer invoices for scanning; follow up on missing invoices.

·  Other duties and projects related to Route Accounting as may be assigned.

 

Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have Bachelors degree or equivalent, preferably in business administration, plus a minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience or other related experience;  strong problem- solving skills and the ability to adapt learned skills creatively to constantly shifting circumstances; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong computer and MS Office skills;  and a proven track record of delivering high quality work and establishing and maintaining effective inter-departmental relationships.  Previous experience working with an integrated accounting package is a plus.
