And, simply, by being more than your typical human resources consulting practice.   Actuarial and Insurance Solutions Our Human Capital professionals work with insurance providers and self-insured organizations in virtually all aspects of insurance, financial services, and risk-related issues.  We also deliver advice and solutions related to strategy, actuarial and financial analysis, underwriting and claim operations, information systems, and data mining predictive modeling. Life Actuary Manager   The Life Actuary Manager will provide technical and analytical support in a consulting environment.   The job functions include the following:   ·         Primarily responsible for producing and managing technically oriented work across a number of practice areas, including statutory and GAAP reporting, mergers and acquisitions, embedded value, and financial projections.  ·         Will also be involved in market and technical research, data resource and tool development, recruiting, training, and strategic planning.  ·         Be a team player who works well both with internal and client personnel and is expected to continue progress towards the FSA designation and stay in compliance with the Actuarial Study Program.   The minimum job prerequisites are as follows: Technical Skills ·         Must have received their ASA designation under the Society of Actuaries. ·         7-10 years of experience in an insurance company or consulting environment ·         Proficiency using computer software such as Excel, Word, and Access. ·         General knowledge of life and annuity products ·         Familiarity with life insurance reserve calculation requirements and mechanics ·         Experience with  actuarial projection systems   Non-Technical Skills   ·         Strong written and verbal communication skills ·         Team player who enjoys working with multiple teams ·         Enthusiasm for serving clients and helping to further develop our consulting practice ·         Travel represents 10% to 50% of the job depending on projects on which Consultant works.About DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
