Newly Weds Foods seeks a Maintenance Manager.  The duties are to manage a staff to install, repair, and maintain blending, grinding, and baking equipment to manufacture batters, breadings and spices for the food industry. 

 

Ideal candidates will have 8-10 years plant experience, 3+ years of supervisory or management experience, and an Engineer’s degree (or equivalent).  The incumbent will be hands-on and manage 6 mechanics.  The Maintenance Manager reports to the Plant Manager and is a member of the Management Team and has a strategic role at the site.

Maintenance Manager Job Description

This position is responsible for the effective management of all Maintenance Department activities.  The incumbent manages and ensures the effective use of six skilled, multi-craft technicians; Oversees the installation, troubleshooting and repair of all electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment; and, Works closely with Production to ensure the maintenance, repair and reliability of equipment to meet Production needs. 

Essential Duties:Manage all department employees to efficiently meet assigned workload and schedule.Ensure Staffing of the department, approve and schedule overtime, vacations and off time, and down time overhauls.Plan the Department’s activities to meet production and preventive maintenance schedules.  Maintain equipment reliability through maintenance programs and procedures.Control expenses and oversee the use of manpower and tools, equipment purchases.Responsible for the use of contractors and their compliance to NWF rules and OSHA requirements.Plan, control, and direct the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of all plant equipment, systems, machines, facilities and grounds.Manage the ordering of parts, tools, and services as needed and approved.Work with the Assigned Manager on Pest Control and assist in that activity. Prepare and maintain forms, records, and logs as required.

Job Qualifications BS Degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent education, experience and training.8-10 years of plant maintenance experience.3-4 years of supervisory or management experience.  Experience managing complex department and getting work done in timely fashion. Mechanical, electrical and electronic troubleshooting experience. Working knowledge of PLCs. Interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with all levels of personnel.  Ability to pass required testing.Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office; AS400 experience a plus.
