Maintenance Mechanic JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for ensuring the Plant runs efficiently by decreasing down time due to mechanical challenges. The successful Mechanic will assists with the installation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of Plant machinery used for the production of soy milk. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assists with the maintenance of the plant including installation, repairing, maintaining, setup, troubleshooting, and / or operating Plant machinery including soy production, processing, cleaning, and packaging systemsProvide support and maintenance for refrigeration, boilers, air, hydraulic, plumbing, low and high voltage electrical systems (including 240/480 3-phase) and waste water treatment plantConduct facility preventative maintenance and repairs for all equipment, including material handling, batching, process flow, start up, sterilizing, AC/DC controls and programmable controllersReplaces packing on pumps and valves, motor and pump bearings, seals and sleeves. Adjusts shaft alignments, worn parts, bearings, seals, lubricates motors and gearboxesConducts visual inspection involving small defects and, or small parts. Maintains plant and pump station building and groundsOther duties include proper use and care for tools, maintaining daily maintenance logs, ordering and stocking partsConducts other duties as assignedRequirements: QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
