Manager Finance

Perform all assigned functions in Sales Finance pertaining to trade spend and net sales analysis, reporting customer sales metrics, analyzing customer profitability and cost-to-serve, as well as ad hoc analysis as required. This position supports the Director Finance Sales Finance Wal-Mart and serves as primary analysis function supporting the Wal-Mart Sales Team.Position Responsibilities Analyze monthly variances between actual results, current estimate, plan, and prior year. Summarize variances and discuss with Director, Sales Finance. Provide analysis on customer cost to serve and customer profitability. Support Customer Marketing and International resources. Analyze financial metrics related to the Wal-Mart scorecard. Work with customer marketing to create marketing event profitability s. Perform post promotional analysis of trade spending events, both internal and external, by analyzing the ROMI and incremental lift associated with promotion. Assist in the preparation/evaluation of monthly and quarterly Sales Metrics including brand and customer volume, deduction balances, headcount, and selling expense. Assist in preparation of plan models for selling expense. Responsible for coordinating input into the financial planning system and work with Sales Finance and Sales Team to validate accuracy and reasonableness of data. Assist in analysis/preparation of customer trade plan Assist in developing management reports through functional knowledge of the following systems: Business Warehouse, SAP R/3 and Trade Promotion Management (TPM). Prepare ad-hoc reports and potential assignment to special studies/teams to assist management in evaluating key opportunities for the company.Position Qualifications Bachelor s degree in business administration or related field with minimum of 6+ years work experience in financial analysis, preferably in consumer packaged goods industry. CPA and/or MBA preferred. Fundamental understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. Ability to analyze and assimilate relevant data into key financial recommendations. Solid interpersonal, organizational and financial skills Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with the sales team.
