Sara Lee Corporation employs 137,000 people worldwide.Each and every day, Sara Lee (NYSE: SLE) delights millions of consumers and customers around the world.  The company has one of the world's best-loved and leading portfolios with its innovative and trusted food, beverage, household and body care brands, including Ambi Pur, Ball Park, Douwe Egberts, Hillshire Farm, Jimmy Dean, Kiwi, Sanex, Sara Lee, and Senseo.  Collectively, these brands generate more than $12 billion in annual net sales covering approximately 200 countries.  The Sara Lee community consists of 52,000 employees worldwide.Position Summary: Implement and monitor programs and processes necessary to ensure facility develops and sustains a continuous improvement culture and mindset. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Manages, creates, maintains, publishes, and submits all corporate and plant required documents which captures and demonstrates program performance Works as a mentor in changing and developing a continuous improvement culture and mindset Works as a meeting coordinator and facilitator to involve appropriate resources on given assignments Conducts research and acquires data to ensure team decisions and direction are based on factual information Oversees all results, evaluates trends, communicates results, and establishes action plans to ensure plant remains on target to deliver safety, quality, and financial commitments Develops and maintains the master production schedules, and efficient work schedules Adjusts personnel assignments to ensure that an adequate workforce is available for each plant operational area in meeting daily sales orders Supplements Production Managers supervision of all phases of departmental work through front line production supervisors: develops and enforces standards for all areas of production and wrapping. Assist plant manager and department heads with plant projects that may arise.BA or BS preferred in a technical field of study .3-5 years experience in implementing and managing continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing facility, preferably within a food manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with Lean, 5 S, TPM, and Continuous ImprovementGood problem solving techniques with a strong financial acumen.  A cultural change agent who embraces managing in a team oriented environmentAbility to work within a union environment Excellent written and oral communications skillsMust have demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office and other ERP database platformsAn Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer
