Position Summary: To continuously update and maintain the Manugistics technical model to increase forecast accuracy capabilities of the tool.  Jointly owns Demand Planning process with Demand Planning Managers and acts as owner of global parameters and supports all demand planners.  Responsible for continuous improvement of Demand Planning process. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Jointly owns the Demand Planning process with the Demand Planning Manager. Owns global Manugistics parameters and acts as a centralized QA function for Demand Planner specific parameters, model logic, and system settings. Lead Demand Planning Continuous improvement initiatives and perform analyses as required. Responsible for continuous improvement, standardization, and training of Demand Planning process in Manugistics. Monitors process to ensure conformance by Demand Planners. Work with the Demand Planners to enhance the forecasting capabilities of the tool to reduce forecast error. Work with IT to diagnose, correct and test integration and/or data issues that may occur. Act as a primary point of contact with Manugistics with respect to technical items and issues concerning the Demand Planning application. Document changes and upgrades to the system, the processes and/or the model. Lead the integration of short term and long term forecasting process for department by maximizing and upgrading Manugistics tools by incorporating Collaborate and the rollout of that process. Lead the integration of Manugistics with the Siebel system and establish a process to increase monthly forecast accuracy and weekly forecast accuracy. Participate with Manugistics Demand, Supply and Deployment team responsible for long term process improvements at Sara Lee to drive Supply Chain improvements.  Bachelor’s degree (Logistics, Industrial engineering, System Engineering, Mathematics or Computer science/engineering). Familiarity with advanced planning technology and decision-support tools Technical proficiency with database applications.  Knowledge of database design and architecture 5-6 years of Supply Chain modeling and programming experience strongly preferred Understanding of advanced supply planning concepts, business drivers, organization structures and key metrics Detailed understanding of the Supply Planning process and objectives Detailed understanding of the Demand Planning process and objectives Technical ability to troubleshoot and correct software application issues Self-motivated with proven time management and multiple task management capabilities Ability to translate business requirements into model constraints and parameters Good written and verbal communication skills Experience in analytical project work and business analysis
