Nutrition Communications Manager
Typical duties of a Nutrition Communications Manager include:" The Nutrition Communications Manager will stay abreast of emerging science, and policy issues, identify nutrition communications opportunities, support regional and global marketing, nutrition sciences, corporate communications, and sales teams. " Will interface and foster strong relationships with corporate communications, nutrition sciences, legal, external nutrition consultants & policy organizations, and public relations firms. " Manage and develop technical communication materials and website information on a broad array of nutrition and health topics, for health care professionals, customers and consumers." Will have experience in influencing external nutrition policy makers and working with health care professional organizations on nutrition science/policy issues." Will have interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, and have the ability to manage several projects simultaneously." Effectively communicate across technical and non technical audiences internally and externally." Assist with consumer and customer inquiries regarding soy & health, nutritional, ingredient, or allergen information. " Will provide writing, editing, and research support for content development of health & nutrition communication materials, science publications, fact sheets, Q&As, training materials and web sites." Provide nutrition education and training for internal audiences.
Masters of Science in Nutrition (or related field), Ph.D. and Registered Dietitian is a plus.5 7+ years of experience in the food industry or related field, in nutrition marketing/communications and nutrition policy.Knowledge of:1. Business management related to marketing, advertising, and public relations programs.2. Strategic communication development, implementation, and measurement.Ability to/for:1. Communicate well with all levels of management.2. Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to a variety of business environments.3. Innovative strategic thinking and creativity to resolve unprecedented situations.4. Ability to evaluate and translate complex technical information into compelling nutrition communications.5. Must have expertise communicating and influencing diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical about a complex array of health and nutrition issues.Skill in:1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Superior presentation skills necessary to communicate to a wide range of audiences.2. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to meet diverse needs of internal clients.3. Strong organizational, project management, and prioritization skills necessary.
