Operations Manager 2 - Facilities / Engineering

This position will be responsible for the safety regulatory compliance for the hosptial as it pertains to The Joint Ccommision standards for Environment of Care and Life Safety.Assistant Director of engineering / Safety Officer will oversee the Environment of Care program as the Safety Officer in a leadership role and as the primary point person at the hospital. Secondarly, the assistant director will assume daily operations of the maintenance and plant operations department under the direction of the Director of Engineering. Daily operations will include customer service, staff development, regulatory compliance ( JCAHO, NFPA, etc), preventive and corrective maintenance, and project management responsibilities. A strong technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years experience in healthcare as a Facilities manager with safety officer responsibilities and JCAHO survey experience. Certified Safety Healthcare Professional is a plus. ~cb~ Position Summary: Number two position at the account with responsibility for all operations. Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Supervises managers. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Basic Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 2 years of lead/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience Required: 2 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
