Operations Manager, Flour Mill - Martins Creek, PA
Responsible for managing all aspects of a small plant to deliver results that meet quality, customer service, safety, innovation and cost criteria. Leads a zero loss manufacturing culture focused on continuous improvement and delivering world class sustainable performance. Formulates or approves short- and long-term operating objectives in areas such as cost reduction, quality improvement, new product development and/or integration as undertaken at the plant level. Manages various plant staff functions such as Human Resources, Finance, Engineering, IT, etc. either directly or indirectly.Position Responsibilities Manage overall operating budget Determine, recommend, and approve capital expenditures Assure daily compliance in all aspects of business Maintain product quality within designed specifications Promote continuous quality improvement programs Responsible for overall training and development of plant personnel Forecast facility needs consistent with company objectives Lead efforts to maximize industrial sales, increase volumes, and open new markets Provide for positive community involvement and relationships Has final responsibility to assure a safe working environmentPosition Qualifications B.S. degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Management, Finance, or related field required. Two years+ food manufacturing experience required. Five years+ supervisory experience required, with financial, TPM, leadership and continuous improvement responsibilities required. Ability to lead a team of 20 individuals. Strong Excel skills. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquires or complaints. Strong communication skills. Strong technical skills.
