Operations Supervisor (Rock Island, IL)

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Employee scheduling – Kronos knowledge a plus
• Support the department in preparing and adhering to the department budget – always seeking innovative ways to improve efficiencies and reduce costs
• Create a culture of safety and teamwork in the department
• Coordinate product/process schedule and work closely with other departments, including sales and distribution

• Ensure adherence to Sara Lee’s Global Business Practices in all business and employee decisions
• Drive department compliance with established safety, GMP, and QCP training and ensure compliance with all company policies, plant rules and all regulatory agencies
• Maintain a positive working relationship with the collective bargaining unit and ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the labor contract



• High School degree or equivalent required. College degree preferred
• Manufacturing exp required, preferably in the food industry - AIB certification a plus
• Working knowledge of computers, including MS Office applications
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision – position requires high energy and motivation and a strong desire to drive positive changes
