Operations Support Manager - Berkeley, CA

Odwalla, Inc. is the leading national brand of nourishing food products, including fresh juices, nutritionally fortified juice blends, food bars, and spring water. We are currently seeking a full-time Operations Support Manager to oversee our Berkeley, CA distribution center.

 

As the Operations Support Manager, you will be:Responsible for the day-to-day management of warehouse, cooler and fleet personnel and associated activities in assigned region/node. Responsible for the creation, implementation of operational policy and procedures; Schedule pick-up and/or delivery and placement of coolers, for node and create the schedule. Develop and implement appropriate operational policies; monitor for effectiveness and amend, as needed. Follow all department and Company policies and procedures, and participate in node objectives for continued improvement of systems and services. Manage service vendor relationship(s) for Sacramento and direct daily service calls and dispatches. Collaborate with the National Cooler & Fleet Manager to determine cooler inventory and related budgetary issues. Manage cooler and bar rack inventory within assigned region/node.  Maintain fleet records and manage day-to-day fleet issues. Audit and dispatch daily safety records. Maintain local and state fleet compliance with applicable regulating agencies. Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of warehouse/fleet/refrigeration experience; excellent oral and written communication skills and be capable of designing and improving new systems and procedures; technical proficiency with Excel (financial and analytical) as well as MS office; proven track record of delivering both high quality work and establishing and maintaining effective relationships with staff and customers; Experience establishing an operating budget and analytical skills to identify trends and/or opportunities; and a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
