Hanford is a tomato processing facility that processes over 400,000 tons of fresh tomatoes every year and produces 25 million cans of a variety of tomato products for the consumer.



Processing Supervisor

Del Monte Foods, Hanford is seeking a Processing Supervisor for our Hanford Tomato Plant who is familiar with tomato evaporation, mixing, formulation and/or aseptic processing.  Supervise and direct the activities of personnel to maintain, construct, and install equipment in assigned area of responsibility.  Evaluate and recommend capital expenditures to support continuous improvement of production or distribution efficiencies in assigned area of responsibility.  Execute the implementation of approved capital jobs on time and on budget. Ensure all production schedules are met, coordinate services between the production area and other departments.  Direct Supervision of a department during the seasonal packs. 



Duties:In accordance with Federal and State regulatory guidelines, ensure plant operation under the most safe, clean and healthy conditions possible.Supervise and motivate personnel to meet production, construction, and maintenance goals.Monitor critical points during production runs to ensure a safe, high quality product.Establish and monitor maintenance schedules to increase line efficiency and prevent production downtime. Initiate and request appropriations for projects to increase and maintain production, or improve the work atmosphere.Provide leadership and set the example to maintain the respect and cooperation of employeesInstruct and train personnel to maintain a knowledgeable workforce.Execute the implementation of capital jobs on time and under budget.Communicate and monitor employee responsibilities and expectations; Follow-up and administer corrective action when necessary.Insure safety rules and procedures are understood and monitored on a daily basis.  Also, conduct regular safety meetings to reinforce desired safety habits and behavior.Develop and implement daily manning requirements and systems configurations for production runs as determined by planning.Perform administrative duties and projects as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:BS/BA degree preferred, but not requiredMinimum 2 years Supervisory experience.Basic computer knowledge required.Bilingual a plus.
