GENERAL JOB FUNCTION

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is to safely produce and deliver a quality product and service to the customer’s satisfaction.  This function is to be performed cost effectively as defined in the annual budget.

 

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions, Duties and ResponsibilitiesPromote plant safety through education of employees, participating in safety committee, enforce safety programs and provide incentives. Assist in establishing product specifications and ensure that they are met by plant employees.Prepare annual manufacturing budget.Supervise month end inventory and assist in month end close as it relates to manufacturing.Uphold company policies; to treat subordinate fairly and consistently, to review existing policies and make recommendations as required.Provide ongoing training and motivation for subordinates.  To assist subordinates in reaching their goals.Seek ways to improve personal performance using educational methods such as classes, seminars and learning from the experience of superiors.Recommend the hiring of personal and overseeing special job training.Assist in cost analysis of plant improvements.

Execute projects as directed by the Plant Manager.Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.Management Representative in Plant Manager's absence.

Production Product Managers and Sanitation Supervisor

 Indirectly supervises:

All Plant Department Managers

 Reports to:

Plant Manager

 

IV.  REQUIRED SKILLS NEEDED

  ExperienceMinimum of 5 years in Operations Management.Experience with Quality Systems and programs.Continues improvement and team building experience.Budget preparation and cost analysis.

 

TrainingA.I.B. trainingComputer literate (Microsoft Office)Knowledge of regulatory agencies’ clauses such as OSHA, FDABilingual Spanish-English preferred

 

Education Level—College degree preferred but not limited to.
