POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the direction of the three shift production operations at Itasca (non-union) plant within Confections and Snacks. This includes managing the salaried shift managers, salaried supervisors and hourly workforce to produce quality product at high productivity and within cost standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Is responsible for the development of salaried direct reports to meet safety, productivity, cost, human resource, and staffing goals.2. Responsible to manage the salaried supervisors to produce quality product, meet productivity goals within cost standards.3. Establish departmental operating budgets and adhering to the same.4. Is responsible to be the communication link between all departments to ensure company goals and objectives are met.5. Responsible that food, labor and packaging variances are within budgeted standards.6. Work with Human Resources, salaried staff and hourly employees to maintain a positive human resource environment. 7. Complete all other projects as assigned by the Plant Manager. REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: * College degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Business, or Sciences.EXPERIENCE:* 7-10 years in food manufacturing with production floor experience. Prior experience in a large non-union plant.SKILLS: * Excellent communication skills. * High energy level and excellent follow up skills. * Creative problem solving, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities. * Excellent people skills, maintain a positive attitude and the ability to motivate people is needed.
