Company: Whole Foods Market Status: Full Time, Employee Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Location: US-MD-Landover Job Category: Food Services/Hospitality Job Description As the Production Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accuracy of JDA files and CostGuard data, maintaining accuracy of daily production workbooks, and providing administrative support for Facility Team Leader and Production Team Leaders (Managers). Responsibilities: - Enter new recipes and produce accurate costs in CostGuard (Culinary Software). - Produce accurate nutritional data from Genesis software - Maintain daily production workbooks - Assist in building Cook/Chill schedule - Create CostGuard shopping list/requisition for perishables - Requests adds and changes to JDA SKUs, add or delete SKUs from JDA order schedules, add or delete new order schedules - Maintain cost changes in JDA - Maintain revolving order guide for stores - Maintain accurate costs in Excel Inventory sheets and CostGuard [input inventory figures] - Maintain label database, request and approve new labels as needed - Provide administrative support for Executive and Production TLs - Provide support for Customer Service when needed - The above are intended to describe the general requirements for the performance of this job. Qualifications -  At least 2 years related experience and/or training. - Ability to work with mathematical concepts. - Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. - Must be able to understand and follow instructions and established procedures. - Must demonstrate a professional level of verbal and written communication skills with all customers and Team Members. - Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak, read and write in English. - Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish is a plus. - Must be able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. - Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and policies and procedures. - Must be able to complete all necessary training on all equipment needed to perform daily responsibilities. - Must have excellent computer skills including working knowledge of MS Word, in-depth knowledge of Excel and moderate knowledge of AS400. - Must demonstrate initiative and ability to self-direct. - Must have excellent problem-solving skills. - Must be detail oriented. - Able to work effectively in both warm and cold environments. - Able to work a full-time, flexible schedule.
