The successful candidate will support purchasing initiatives within this department so a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required. Experience within Purchasing or Procurement is preferred but not required. Responsibilities involve providing overall support for the Procurement group, including but not limited to the following tasks: Limited buyer duties involving obtaining quotes from vendors, then setting up corrugated and merchandising material pricing in SAP contracts. Subsequently, responsibilities include the follow up of these new materials to make sure that graphic development is occurring on time to meet production requirements. Additional tasks include GR/IR reconciliations, executing the Bill and Hold process, facilitating the Obsolete Pkg Process, tracking plant 1166 activities and issuing monthly updates, issuing PO's for test materials, facilitating the payment and reconciliation of invoices, managing the Debit/ Credit process, assisting buyers in managing and implement price changes, and providing selected data tasks and analysis in support of the buyers. Procurement For the corrugated category, and under the direction of the Pkg Buyer for the given location, assign vendors in PCM, obtain specifications from the Pkg engineers and fax to the vendors, then obtain pricing for said materials and input into SAP contracts for Plant MRP controllers to generate PO's from. Follow up on graphic approvals if required to ensure completion in time for production. Provide appropriate communication to all persons connected to this process. Timeliness is a key element of this process, for plant supportability. For the Point of Sale business, convert Req's to PO's and issue PO's to vendors, reconciling any associated discrepancies. Administrative - Bill and Holds Assist the Buyers by acting as the point person for the the Bill and Hold process and the Obsolete Pkg process while managing and tracking all Plant 1166 activities and providing monthly reports to management. Administrative - PO's/ Invoices/ Debit & Credits Issue PO's for Test materials upon request, manage the Debit/Credit process, resolve GR/IR discrepancies for assigned vendors, facilitate payments of invoices, and follow up on related discrepancies Administrative - Miscellaneous Provide miscellaneous administrative support to the Pkg Buyers such as running maintenance reports, closing old open PO's, and providing limited data analysis. Additional support services include making meeting arrangements, coordinating Pkg Partnership meetings and minutes, provide general office support. Salary Time and Attendance (STAA) backup person. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 6 years business experience, with Packaging procurement preferred.
