Purchasing Import Assistant

 

Hershey Import Co., a Middlesex County, NJ Snack manufacturer/processor has an immediate opening for a Purchasing Import Assistant. 

 

 

This key position would be responsible for the following:

 Creating purchase ordersTracking all inbound containersControlling inventory levels of private label packaging needs and office suppliesWorks with import broker to arrange payment and shipment documentationAssists in FDA, USDA, customs clearance and freight releasingAdditional duties as assigned

 

 

The successful candidate should process the following:

 Minimum 3-5 years purchasing experience Experience dealing with vendors and brokers and the ability to respond timely and communicate effectivelyMicrosoft Office skills – Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Confidence to ask questions to acquire information needed to provide accurate data. Excellent follow up both with tasks and contacts. Professional oral and written communication skills.
