Quality Assurance Inspector

Wild Rocket Foods comes from one of the premier fresh-cut processors in the United Kingdom.  With a vision of providing the highest quality, value added produce and 100% customer satisfaction, Wild Rocket Foods has established a strong customer base on the West Coast supplying a wide range of products including prepared salads, pre-packed produce, prepared vegetables, and wet salads. This Riverside based position provides a competitive compensation and benefits package. QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR Successful candidates will ensure the integrity, quality and food safety of all produce supplied to Wild Rocket Foods Grower and Packhouse Approval through auditing all aspects of food safety and quality assurance to meet current legislation and WRF/Customer standards. Monitoring GAP and GMP Compliance in supply base Developing growers and building strategies to achieve Eurepgap and Nature’s Choice certification Develop and maintain audit schedules to ensure all suppliers are audited to timescales according to designated risk status. Develop and manage an Approved Supplier Database Ensure full traceability of products including pesticide compliance. Developing and operating a system for monitoring supplier performance Developing raw material specifications in conjunction with Development, Technical and Operations Enable 100% customer service through development of open & honest relationships with the Grower base built on mutual trust: Develop profitability plans with all Category Champions Develop Strategic Safety and Quality Review Programmes with all Category Champions Troubleshoot yield, quality and safety issues with Growers Develop corrective / preventative action plan based on intake QA trends and factory performance of raws Develop varietal trial programmes to deliver a USP or improvements in factory performance or product quality Liaison with enforcement and industry bodies: Primary Liaison with 3rd Party GAP audit bodies Represent WRF on all technical bodies related to growing USDA lead  · 3 Yrs Field Experience in a Growing Operation OR Produce Packhouse experience in a Quality or Food safety role.· Degree in agriculture related field or Food Technology· Auditing  Qualifications (preferably Lead Assessor)   Company: Wild Rocket Foods Location: 92507 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Quality Assurance/Safety Company: Wild Rocket Foods
