Quality Assurance Manager / Supervisor

Skills: food, beverage, microbiology, hygiene, SPC, HACCP, root cause, KPI, leadership, team MRINETWORK is a global recruiting company.  We are representing an established company seeking a Quality Assurance Manage / Supervisor in the New Jersey area.  This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Biology or related science with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of successful experience in supervising a Quality Assurance department in a food or beverage plant preferrably with a Fortune 100 type food or beverage manufacturer.  The position could be a Manager or Senior Supervisor level position.  The candidate should demonstrate strong product integrity and managerial courage when it come to product quality and need to be proactive in decision making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biologocal sciences Solid working knowledge of food/beverage microbiology and hygienic design Root cause analysis KPI (Key Performance Indicators) sanitation Prior QA supervisory experience ( 1-2 years) QA lab experience (3-5 years) in beverage or other food products Microbiology Laboratory management Manufacturing line inspection Knowledge of Statiscal Process Control, HAACP, sanitation, and hygienic design Leadership and team ability Strong analytical and problem solving skills Sound administrative and computer skills Be self directed, assertive Able to process information and provide an effective follow-up process on objectives Possess the maturity commensurate with being an effective resource Be willing to work evening shift supervising the work of technicians and be flexible in days of work and weekendsResponsibilities Compliance and record keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing, sampling and snitation activities Direct supervision of QA technicians Tracking, analyzing, and leading initiatives for all quality and customer complaint issues within the plant Lead Resource within plant for company Quality initiative and Quality audits Manage budgeting, purchasing and inventory control of plant operating supplies such as filters, chemicals and lab supplies. Monitor overfill and water usage reporting Develop QA technicians through cross-training initiatives and clear objectives Responsible for the site Pest Control Program; all correspondence and documentation of pest control program; follow-up with contract PCO; MSDS and chemical application  MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
