This candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the Quality Assurance Staff for 1 shift of processed & packaged food products on the production/processing floor.
Position Responsibilities & Requirements:
Thorough knowledge food processing/manufacturing A team player with good organizational & analytical skills and the ability to work with other areas such as Laboratory & Quality Control, Sanitation, Food Safety, R&D & Production Floor. Proficient in knowledge of Regulatory Issues, HACCP, GMP's, A.I.B.,USDA, SSOP's and SPC within processed/packaged food. Must be results-driven, possess strong leadership abilities, 'hand's-on' and willing to 'dive-in' on multiple projects. 1-3 years of successful & proven track record within product formulation and blending, processing, labeling & packaging. Lab & Q.C. methods analysis, Product Integrity/Product testing Ability to work with Production Floor & Quality to improve existing products & ability to 'trouble-shoot' with current product production problems. Also responsible for communications with customers, suppliers, Regulatory Agencies and Third Party Agencies. Bachelors Degree preferred, preferably in Food Engineering or Food Science. Need a minimum of 1-3 years in supervision & should have between 2-4 years of overall food processing experience. Must have a strong ability within organization, people development & the training of employees. Will report to the Manager of Quality Assurance of the facility & must be willing to work rotating shifts. Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS! Knowledge of AIB, USDA, FDA, further processing, bottled, canned,bulk,poultry, meat, beef, pork, seafood, fresh or frozen foods, baked, bakery, dough and dairy is a big plus.
