We are looking for an individual that will lead a QA team of 17-20 individuals in an USDA inspected meat facility.  Company location is in the Midwest and within driving distance to Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago.  Expectations are for this person to establish a continuous improvement program that will keep the department current on state-of-the-art practices and regulatory issues.  Requirements for this position that is highly visible to outside customers and to Corporate QA are:

 

- BS Degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Microbiology or other biological science.

- Min. 5 yrs. experience in a Quality Management position.

- Experience with writing and maintaining HACCPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and GMPs.

- Good communicator—both written and oral.

- Knowledge of SPC techniques and third party audits.

- Familiarity with fully-cooked, frozen meat products highly desired.
