Currently, we are looking for qualified, diverse individuals to apply for the following position: Job Summary: The Quality Services Technician - Quality Systems is responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions to site based quality systems to ensure operational conformance to consumer and customer expectations. As a site based R&D resource, this position requires working closely with Plant and Support associates to identify opportunities to improve product quality, systems, and safety. Another facet of this position is to keep abreast of new technologies, systems and global initiatives to assure the consideration and transfer of the most up to date processes and auditing techniques. Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement innovative systems to drive continuous improvements (ie., Hold Management, HACCP, ISO, MasterFoodsUSA regulatory requirements, etc.) - Assist in the development and delivery of Technical Training programs - Provide leadership in quality systems to ensure compliance to product and process specifications.- Develop and implement site based programs to trend, report, and address consumer and customer feedback information - Improve processes and systems through innovation, effective change control, research, and auditing. Key Skills Required:- Excellent project management skills with proven ability to manage numerous projects - Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, motivate, and lead a team - Excellent statistical, analytical and troubleshooting skills - Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting - General knowledge of Food Safety (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices - Demonstrated proficiency of computer software including: word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, macros, etc. - Proven application of engineering principles, food science, statistics, and quality tools - Ability and aptitude to work in a manufacturing environment - Effective communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a Technical dicipline is required (Industrial Engineering, Food Science, etc.) and two years years experience in a Masterfoods USA facility -- OR-- three years of college credit towards the above-described degree and four years of experience.Ability to work in a manufacturing environmentAbility to travel 20% of the timeSuccessful completion of a drug and background screen Preferred Qualifications: 3 years experience in Quality or Engineering area preferred Able to travel Demonstrated competence in technical writing and editingAbove average demonstrated interpersonal communication and leadership skills, and the ability to effectively negotiate, influence, persuade, and analyze problems with all levels of the organization.Company-paid relocation is not available for this position.
