This individual will manage the entire new business opportunities process through the company system.  This process begins from request for quote or sample through to first production order.  The objective is to ensure quick turnaround to our customers, improved efficiency in conjunction with ongoing analysis of success ratio.

 Essential Functions

· Receive requests for quotes and sample requests from sales and customer service.

· Enter data in appropriate spreadsheets and reporting systems daily.

· Initiate/schedule daily brief meeting to go over open projects and approvals (i.e. ingredients, substitutions, challenges, etc).

· Communications with sales on progress (reports and/or phone).

· Generate quote letters and any documents required for samples.

· Prepare month end status reports

· Gather and track all materials needed for sample blends, to include appropriate Baan processes where required.

· Print out BPR, Quote Sheet/Spec Sheet, internal shipping forms assigning lot number.

· Sample production following appropriate instructions.

· Formula verification – Responsible for verifying accuracy of formulas entered into spreadsheets.

· Clean-up of lab and related equipment following sample production.

· Ship samples with appropriate documentation to customers.

· Regular follow-up and analysis of quotes and samples with sales/customer service.

· Regular reporting/analysis of status and success to management, marketing, sales and customer service.

 QualificationsPrefer Science degree with experience, however experience in detailed project management in lab setting is acceptable in lieu of a formal degree. Minimum 5 years related experience.Working knowledge of and experience with Food Fortification, in particular Vitamins, Amino Acids, and Specialty Supplement Ingredients preferred.Must have demonstrably strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) Ability to respond to rapidly changing and conflicting priorities.

§ Excellent analytical ability with a high degree of creativity.

§ Advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.Independent, proactive, extremely detail oriented, dependable, organized and be able to handle multiple tasks.
