Regional Sales Director Position Summary: The Sales Director is responsible for coordinating a cohesive sales effort within a specific region, which supports Silgan’s strategic initiatives. The Sales Director’s primary objective is to focus on margin enhancement, contract maintenance and new business development in the region. It is necessary to penetrate our customer’s organization at the management level to develop strategic long-term relationships to achieve cooperation, dependency and customer satisfaction. The Sale Director is also responsible for development of direct reports including Sales Account Managers, Inside Sales Representatives and Sales Administrative support staff. Essential Job Functions: 1. Contract development and negotiation with key accounts. Coordination of communication between Silgan Executive Management and Legal Council with the customer to finalize contract language. 2. Identify business development opportunities and draft comprehensive recommendations and proposals which include information relative to pricing, terms, specification and competitive analysis. 3. Development of annual volume budget and SG&A budget. Frequent communication with Executive Management relative to forecast tracking and general business threats and opportunities. 4. Development of personnel in the region via on-going communication and feedback, identification of training opportunities and formal annual reviews. 5. Development of periodic reports including general market analysis, competitor pricing and capabilities within the region.
