SAP Technical Analyst 2
" Maintain availability of systems, operational efficiency and stability, and support of moderately complex systems; provide back-up support as necessary" Responsible for technical program definition, design, coding, unit testing, technical documentation and walkthroughs for all assigned SAP related projects, to support company business and operational needs" Responsible for designing, constructing, documenting, testing and maintaining application, web, data warehouse, reporting, portal and interface solutions" Consult with and advise users concerning specific information processing procedures available and feasibility of using SAP systems to solve business problems; provide development and support for application requirements; resolve design and development issues" Develop custom solutions within SAP using R/3, BI & other SAP related tools" Coordinate analysis, procedures programming and operational functions in adapting, converting or developing computer and auxiliary equipment operations for specific operational areas of related information processing applications" Serve as a resource to SAP Functional Analysts, business users, and BASIS Administrators" Utilize structured methodologies to support tasks" Develop prototypes for applications" Instruct, train and advise staff in computer usage techniques and subject-matter principles and/or practices; recommend changes in procedures" May lead/supervise processing problem solving team" Follow established procedures & methodologies for analyzing and developing new SAP solutions
Credit for a major in a program that included (or was supplemented by) at least 18 semester hours in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. (An advanced non-thesis degree may be substituted for one (1) year of the required Experience listed below; a thesis degree for two (2) years.)Five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience that provided knowledge of generally accepted principles, theories and practices used in IT Applications, two (2) years of which were in performing duties/tasks similar to those listed for the next lower level in this series.1) Knowledge of " Ability to transform business function requirement into technical program specs, and to code, unit test and debug SAP programs" Extensive multiple module modification experience with some of the following: ALE; BDC; BOR; IDOC; BAPI; User Exit Reports; Workflow Conversions; interface architecture; ABAP workbench; SAP Script; CPI-C; remote function call; ABAP Objects; dialog programming; reporting; data dictionary objects; Enterprise Portal Content Studio; Visual Composer; NetWeaver Development Studio; Java PDK; Web Dynpro; SAP Composite Framework ; xMII; Javascript; Web Development" Knowledge of relational database architectures, query languages, interfaces, data warehouse concepts, service oriented architecture concepts, portals, reporting tools and standard programming environments" Information technology principles, theories and practices relative to computer applications (Thorough level)" Database management and/or current applications programs, as required for the position (Thorough level)" Systems development life cycle" Office methods and procedures (Basic level)2) Ability to" Plan, schedule and coordinate chronological operations" Reason logically regarding operational aspects of applications and departmental functions" Ability to support SAP Functional Team and SAP Users" Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrix team environment.
