Sales Team Leader
Job Summary: Responsible for implementation to achieve marketing objectives for the assigned market area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Responsible for coaching, developing and managing their assigned sales team. Submit an annual market plan to determine sales, distribution and productivity improvements as well as establish and manage a sufficient level of funding for market execution. Responsible for daily implementation of market plan objectives and accountable for monthly departmental expense budgets. Establish and monitor realistic and challenging objectives for accounts assigned in market area. Conduct assigned business reviews with key management personnel for assigned market area. Communicate to all employees by a regularly scheduled sales meeting all pertinent information (promotions, pricing, delivery procedures, industry related issues and legislation as well as upcoming wholesaler events) in order to recommend appropriate action plans and/or in house training. Schedule, participate and maintain a record of ride-withs and retail trade calls in assigned market area to insure comprehensive coverage in accordance with Silver Eagle policy and marketing guidelines. Manage and maintain capable sales personnel sufficient to maintain market dominance. Participate in periodic performance appraisals within your business unit. Encourage open communication and a free flow of knowledge and information.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor degree in Business Administration is desired or a combination of college, business related study and practical experience. Must have advanced knowledge of marketing principals, and the ability to manage and develop people and programs. Excellent oral and written communication skills, initiative, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management, and customer service skills. Able to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels. Ability to supervise using teamwork to successfully guide the work of others.
