Senior Research Manager

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, Professional and Technical Division, is currently seeking a Senior Research Manager for one of our clients in the Maryland area.  The successful candidate will need to have a strong food science background that relates to flavanols and phytonutrients.  This person will perform and manage research in the fields of Food and Biological Engineering.  The primary responsibility of this role is to maximize the availability of flavanols in the human body. 

Requirements:6+ years experience in a technical field within the food industryPhD degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field is required.  In lieu of a PhD, a BS and 10 years of experience publishing peer reviewed papers in field of endeavor is acceptable.  Management experience (technician and external research)Solid project management skill setsStrong communication skills both verbal and written (strong presentation skills)Excellent networking capabilitiesAbility to build effective teamsStrong budget and P&L background
