Sara Lee Corporation employs 137,000 people worldwide.Each and every day, Sara Lee (NYSE: SLE) delights millions of consumers and customers around the world.  The company has one of the world's best-loved and leading portfolios with its innovative and trusted food, beverage, household and body care brands, including Ambi Pur, Ball Park, Douwe Egberts, Hillshire Farm, Jimmy Dean, Kiwi, Sanex, Sara Lee, and Senseo.  Collectively, these brands generate more than $12 billion in annual net sales covering approximately 200 countries.  The Sara Lee community consists of 52,000 employees worldwide.Position Summary:  The Operations Supervisor will have direct responsibility for the shift supervised and full accountability for the production and wrap process, employee relations, product quality and employee safety issues during that shift. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Support the department in preparing and adhering to the department budget – always seeking innovative ways to improve efficiencies and reduce costs Coordinate product/process schedule and work closely with other departments Maintain a positive working relationship with the collective bargaining unit and ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the labor contract Schedule, assign and direct workforce Train, monitor and evaluate workforce Provide guidance, discipline and other personnel related activity in accordance with corporate policies and in compliance with applicable collective bargaining agreements Create a culture of safety and teamwork in the department Ensure that employees are in compliance with all safety rules and GMPs Participate in and lead LEAN manufacturing activities as neededWorking knowledge of computers, including MS office applicationsWillingness to work varied shirts, including nights, weekends and holidaysMust be self-directed and able to work without close supervision- position requires high energy and motivation and a strong desire to drive positive changeStrong organizational, verbal and written communication skillsEffective communication with diverse groupsStrong leadership and team building skillsKRONOS knowledge a plusHigh school diploma or equivalent required.  College degree preferred.Previous supervisory experience in production, preferably in the food industryAn Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer
