Supplier Quality Specialist, Poultry/Seafood OR Sugars/Oils

Two positions with two different areas of speciality: Poultry/ Seafood OR Sugars/Oils Supplier Quality roles.This position will function with limited autonomy to implement programs within the Supplier Quality functional area of the Enterprise Quality group. This position is responsible for supporting the Supplier Quality Manager in the implementation of relevant QA processes and procedures within the supplier quality group. The daily execution of activities related to reviewing, monitoring and assessing the integrity of a supplier s adherence to our quality expectations is also expected. The position will participate on cross functional teams to assure effective implementation and adherence to QA initiatives and expectations of our suppliers. The position owns the quality relationship between ConAgra Foods and the supplier s quality group.Position Responsibilities Functions with limited autonomy in executing duties Performs tasks of medium-high complexity Implements processes and procedures within assigned technical area(s) of responsibility Assists in designing department processes and procedures Performs assigned technical tasks/duties associated with department processes and procedures Gathers and studies data to understand trends and issues and to provide input to decisions related to product safety and quality in areas of assigned responsibility Advises others in the organization on matters of a technical nature Develops metrics to measure effectiveness/progress in areas of responsibility Provides technical and decision-making support and data in managing situations and issues relative to quality and/or food safety as necessary Interfaces with and provides technical support to appropriate functions and employees to assure regulatory compliance, food safety and quality of ConAgra Foods products Evaluates effectiveness and assures continuous improvement in assigned areas of responsibility Travel is estimated at 50%.Position Qualifications Minimum B.S. in Food, Biological or Chemical Science or related field required Minimum 2 years of food industry experience in QA, Operations or equivalent function required Preferred experience in Poultry/Seafood OR fats/oils/sugars/pre-packed supplier quality. Knowledge of food safety, food manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant area of responsibility Familiarity in using continuous improvement tools and fundamentals Relevant experience with government regulatory requirements in food processing Excellent report writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to travel 50% of the time.
