Manages production staff to attain production and quality goals. Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues. Ensures production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service. Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team oriented work force in order to improve business results.  Position Responsibilities   Supervises production operations according to established priorities and schedules. Manages production staff to attain production and quality goals. Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues. Educate, monitor and enforce all safety rules, policies and activities Manufacture products that are safe for human consumption and meet the customer expectations via quality specification control measurements Enforce compliance to company rules, policies and procedures to ensure a safe and fair working environment for plant workers and visitors including maintaining GMP’s Provide support to the daily activities of the manufacturing equipment and hourly employees. Ensure operation of manufacturing lines will meet performance standards for each work center and product. Monitor and review the daily line performance Provide training for all personnel. Communicate effectively with line personnel and management - hold line meetings/training classes as required Maintain staffing to meet line standard staffing levels. Conduct annual performance appraisals for hourly employees. Ensure all daily manufacturing documents are completed and are accurate. Update operation manuals as changes occur (job descriptions, training checklists, equipment operations, cleaning procedures, JHA’s and JSA’s) Maintain adequate supply of operational tools and supplies Prepare reports for Lead Manufacturing Supervisor Assist in development of Line Coordinator Execute other duties as assigned by Production Manager  Position Qualifications  EDUCATION: A four year degree in Business, Food Technology or related field EXPERIENCE (YEARS/TYPE):  3 - 5 years manufacturing experience on a production/packaging line 2 - 4 years supervisory experience SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
