Team Leader Production - Omaha, NE

Leads team members to identify, manage, and execute the plants process improvement opportunities. Manages production staff to attain production and quality goals. Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues. Ensures production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service. Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team oriented work force in order to improve business results. 3 years related experience.Position Responsibilities Oversees the production and shipment of quality products to fulfill customer requirements. Controls and effectively utilizes the production capacity, manpower and equipment and outside resources through planning, organizing and scheduling to minimize losses; works within the framework of the budget to optimize company profitability. Communication & Business Support Communicate and manage specific enterprise initiatives as they pertain to the Packing Department. Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards and sanitation practices. Motivate and enhance skills of direct reports and associates. Supervision and scheduling of repair, maintenance, and installation to ensure continuous production operations. Participates in development of preventive maintenance program. Reviews inspections of operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards. Solve technical hurdles and issues as they relate to packaging. Plan, research, organize, and implement project work. Interact and communicate with team members from various functions i.e., Supply Chain, Procurement, Marketing, Regulatory, Finance, Engineering, Co-Pack and Legal. Communicate project status and findings to Senior management. Maintain cost effective programs and practices that are consistent with plants. Identify and implement opportunities to drive business growth via new and improved packing and material technologies. Remain current in understanding new technologies and products that could be used for current and new business opportunities. Build collaborative relationships with current and new vendor base. Other projects as assigned. Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards and sanitation practices. Motivate and enhance skills of direct reports and associates Other projects as assigned.Position Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in BusinessAdministration, Engineering, Biology, or Industrial Management required. 1 year+ supervisory experience required. Food manufacturing experience desired. Ability to learn package process and technology. Ability to use new technology to significantly improve profitability, product quality and/or manufacturing issues. Formal training in safety methods in a plant environment. Basic knowledge of plant operations and job functions. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Strong project administration skills. Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously. Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
