Tray Pack Supervisor

SUMMARY 

Purpose

Responsible for all activities involving tray packing equipment.



Scope

To verify that specifications against products are covered and met

 

Required



Must have strong English verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual a must to communicate with team members. Mechanical understanding of tray packing equipment necessary. Must be able to work as a team member in a fast-paced production environment and exhibit good judgment when making decisions.



 

DUTIES 

Typical

Duties include but not limited to:

Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times

Scheduling crew to cover vacations and various work shifts..



Inventory control and purchasing of packaging materials.



Assign product for packing (product picking)



Spot-check/audit of outbound product



Develop systematic methods for ensuring the completion of all work assignments to ensure that timelines are met and personal job commitments are accomplished



Keep self, superiors, and associates informed of significant information, company policies and procedures.



Communicate product/process/documentation discrepancies and potential discrepancies to aid continuous improvement efforts to the Quality Controller.



Identify errors and training needs while providing feedback and assisting with training, as needed.



Perform other duties, as assigned

EDUCATION 

Required

Minimum of a High School diploma. Should possess or should obtain the knowledge, skills, and disciplines needed to carry out the functions assigned to the individual occupying this position.

EXPERIENCE 

Required

Two years of previous experience in a similar position. Experience in the food service or food processing industry and distribution experience would be ideal.



WORKING CONDITIONS

Usual

Processing/production environment driven by committed turn-around times. Utilizes PC and other standard office equipment.



Special



Able to work in refrigerated environment.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Usual

Able to stand for long periods of time in cold temperatures. Able to lift 50 lbs.
