Warehouse Manager (Food Industry Only)
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibility in this position is the management of the site warehouse and shipping / receiving operations. In addition: Work requires the use of initiative and judgment in cooperation with various supply chain partners to provide superior service of diversified food products to internal customers and to multiple external market channels. Manage over a staff of supervisors and clerks including shipping and inventory. In fulfillment of responsibilities, is primary to plan, assign and manage all supervisors engaged in the warehousing and shipping operation at the plant. Assures that the warehouse facility and function and its personnel are operating to optimize service, safety and quality measures. Provides proper staffing, utilization, and development of all personnel. Maintains a union free environment. Provides through a transportation management partnership service that exceeds customer expectations. Identifies and implements cost savings initiatives.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREDSCOPE: To achieve success in this position, the individual should possess a solid background consisting of at least seven years of supply chain experience. Furthermore, the candidate must be able demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of issues and cost structures associated with supply chain management, applied in a process-driven environment. This experience must include hands-on supervision of associates/supervisors involved in a customer centered work environment. In our warehouse environment it is critical that the successful candidate demonstrate the ability to hold a staff and crew accountable for results while allowing sufficient time and energy to plan and assist pro-actively within a larger team setting. The successful candidate must have been responsible for the achievement of quantifiable company and customer related results and the ability to detail how this was accomplished through the development of effective teams and process management. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration A Must Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred Experience in Food warehousing and/or logistics Computer and communication skills
