Warehouse Supervisor - Nights

Job Description: Reporting directly to Warehouse Manager, this position supervises the day to day warehouse or transportation operations, including administrative and clerical functions to ensure efficient operations in a safe working environment.  Plans, implements and monitors the day to day operations for warehouse and transportation functions to ensure that established key performance indicator objectives are met or exceeded.  Monitors loading, dispatch and receiving times and makes appropriate changes, ensuring compliance with regulatory organization standards and procedures.  Supervises assigned staff, including allocation of staff, training, development and performance evaluation.  Monitors and completes numerous computer based and manual reports and related paperwork, including time records, daily logs, damage reports, etc.  Monitors product damage and audits routes to ensure reliable product delivery.  Plans and coordinates vehicle and equipment maintenance and utilization reports.Must have expert knowledge of the storage and shipment of food or allied products and material handling.  In depth knowledge of computer based inventory control systems, project management concepts/techniques, relevant safety policies, practices and procedures.  Have experience with regulatory agencies in the areas of Sanitation, DOT, HACCP, OSHA, etc.  Working knowledge of warehouse racking systems and transportation routing required.  Must lead a diverse workforce in a 24 hour/7 day per week operation in a team based environment.  Bachelors Degree in business or related field preferred with 3-5 years of experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.  Position requires hands on applications and extensive interaction with internal customers.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC usage required, with JD Edwards experience a plus.  Complete Medical/Dental/Retirement/401K Package.  Golden State Foods is an international food processor and distributor.  We are in the process of building a new, state of the art distribution center in Garner, NC outside of Raleigh, NC due to open in late summer of 2009. Our Company Values are:1) Treat Others as You Want to be Treated2) Make the Best Product3) Give the Customer a Fair Deal4) Maintain the Highest Standards     See our web site www.goldenstatefoods.com  AA/EOEM/F/V/D Company: Golden State Foods Corporation Location: Greensboro, NC 27409 Salary/Wage: 40,000.00 - 45,000.00 USD /year Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Logistics/Transportation Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
