IT Specialist

 

Summary of Experience Needed
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) from an accredited college is preferred
• The individuals must possess, at a minimum, five years of experience each working with IT software and systems with a working expertise in Visual Basic development, Microsoft Access development (reports, input screens, etc.), Microsoft Access data extraction skills, and HTML web page development
• Experience with the SEC’s EDGAR system would be helpful, but is not required
• The individuals assigned to this task are expected to have sufficient ability, experience and knowledge to accomplish tasks without oversight or guidance

Skills, Knowledge and Ability
• Create and/or change web pages
• Develop Visual Basic program modules that perform a specific function and can be integrated into an existing application
• Perform upgrades of existing Access programs, forms, input screens, and reports
• Coordinate with permanent staff members on projects requiring technical expertise
• Provide support to staff in developing expertise in specific technology applications
• Train staff in those applications developed
• Special projects will be assigned, as needed, that require the skills listed above
