Aquisition Specialist III

DSD Laboratories has an exciting new opportunity for an Aquisition Specialist III at Hanscom Field AFB, Bedford MA.  The ideal person will provide project and aquisition support services to the Ground Element MEECN Systems (GEMS) program in the 639 ELSS as the program progress through the SDD phase on to production.  Assist in the preparation, review and integration of aquisition documentation reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Assist in a broad range of acquisition support duties for the GEMS project(s) IAW DoD and NSSAP policies, procedures and regulations.  Assist in acquisition support of SDD activities and production planning activities.  Review and articulate requirements from directives, plans, and other documents and include recommended course(s) of action(s).  Analyze and identify acquisition issues and develop risk reduction/mitigation approaches for improving program planning, control, and execution.  Prepare, review, and integrate required milestone review documentation, periodic reports, and certifications.  Provide reviews of deliverable status, milestone schedules, status reports, and cost performance reports; determine accuracy of information/situation and identify any inconsistencies.  Prepares and presents briefings and reports.

 

The ideal person will have a Masters Degree and 12 yrs experience with at least 8 of those years w/ DoD or AF aquisition programs.  Knowledge of DoD and NSSAP polices, procedures and regulations required.

Experience with DoD Contractor tasking, progress reviews, and management desired. Knowledge of MCSW processes, SMC processes, and SNNG programs desired.  Knowledge and experience with NSA policies, processes, and Type 1 certification requirements is desired. Must have a positive attitude, ability to work well with others and flexibility to changing workloads.  Possess ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (to include Microsoft Project) required. Some travel may be required and individual must have an active government security clearance.
