The Bureau of Facilities Planning & Plant Operations is seeking a dynamic architect who has a passion for design excellence, and enjoys working in a team environment. We offer a challenging environment with exposure to many aspects of design and construction projects.

The selected candidate will develop facility guidelines and facility standards which define design features and levels of quality required for all FPPO construction; develop performance standards, construction standards, and establish operating procedures; review architectural features of proposed construction and rehabilitation projects for compatibility with standards; conduct site visits and final inspections to ensure compliance with all design requirements, and standards; investigate code issues, problems or customer complaints about facilities to recommend necessary modifications or new standards; contribute to the development of the 'ARCHIBUS' program as appropriate.

The candidate must have a valid NYS registration as an Architect and 4 years of architectural experience. CAD, LEED certification is desired. *Please indicate desired salary on your cover letter.
