Associate Telecommunications Logistics/Circuit Specialist

****This position is in Burlington, VT**** SAIC's Homeland Security Solutions Division currently has an opening for an Associate Telecommunications Logistics/Circuit Specialist. JOB DESCRIPTION: Scope: The candidate will be responsible for handling circuit requests; ensuring orders are tracked through the government and carrier process and properly inventoried. The candidate will maintain contact with the Project Managers, Network Engineers and Facility Points of Contact. He/She will develop voice/video/data circuit orders. Additional duties include designing complex circuit routing to support networking of voice/data hardware, processing requests for establishing new telecommunications circuits at necessary facilities around the United States. Also, he/she processes requests for circuit modifications and/or circuit disconnects and analyzes nationwide circuit requirement requests, billing reconciliation, and coordinates billing resolution with telecommunications carriers. The candidate also contacts and works with Change Management, the customer Help Desk, and Facilities concerning location circuit change requests. Serves as the technical point of contact for assistance on circuit degradation and circuit outages or intermittent problems. Creates and organizes a circuit database including tracking and coordination of circuit installations. Provides daily tracking of circuit stage and status. Provides detailed timeline information on critical circuit requests and issues regular status reports. Performs inventory control and circuit logistical activities.
