The General Counsel Division is seeking applicants for a position in the Natural Resources Section.  This is a Portland-based position.  The successful applicant should have knowledge of and expertise in federal and state clean-up laws including CERCLA.  A litigation background is highly desirable, and experience with Natural Resource Damages issues under federal law also will be considered. It is anticipated that this attorney will be assigned initially to work with several Oregon agencies concerning the federal Portland Harbor Superfund project.  Applicants must have excellent advocacy and analytical skills, as well as the ability to coordinate teams that include both lawyers and non-lawyers.  This position is represented by the Oregon Association of Justice Attorneys.

 

This position will be filled at either the Senior or Assistant Attorney General level, salary range $4,571 to $9,063 per month, depending upon experience.  Applicants must be admitted to the Oregon bar at the time of appointment to this position.
