We deliver industry-leading tactical vehicles, vehicle armor, body armor, helmets, aircraft armor, seating systems, air bag systems and individual equipment. We are dedicated to research and development investment to anticipate the survivability needs of the warfighter and their vehicle, utilizing the most advanced metal, ceramic and composite technologies available. SUMMARY OF THE JOB: This position is responsible for establishing and implementing strategic sales and business development direction for the Ground Vehicle Survivability Division within the defined customer segment. Working with several departments this position will develop a forecast, anticipate customer needs and requirements, and ensure that prospective business is secured for the company to meet the forecast. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Identification of customer requirements early in the development cycle and positioning the company in a most competitive position based on relationships with program leads 2.To grow existing business with current customer base 3.Identify potential opportunities and coordinate capture efforts across the Ground Vehicle Survivability Division to secure new business within assigned segments 4.Lead in the scheduling, tracking and completion of capture/proposal activities for assigned segments 5.Transitioning requirements into product development organization effectively 6.Responsible for being the face of the company to the customer’s individual equipment management teams 7.Subject matter expert on both current, future products and manufacturing capabilities 8.Establishment of annual strategic plan for defined customer segment and execution of same plan 9.Identification and promotion of new technologies affecting survivability core products and business 10.Represent and support other organizations within Ground Vehicles Survivability Division as needed with the customer 11.Support of Ground Vehicle Survivability Division at marketing/trade show events 12.Submittal of weekly status reports 13.Participate and/or lead proposals writing efforts 14.Ensure compliance with federal and state laws 15.Perform all duties in a safe manner 16.Perform other duties as assigned MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BS or BA degree in a business/technical discipline and equivalent of 10 years military program/sales experience with proven record of success BASIC SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: 1.DOD acquisition knowledge in assigned customer segment (US ARMY, USMC, NAVY, USAF) 2.Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry 3.Industry Expertise in automotive or ground vehicle industry (highly desired) 4.Ability to travel 50% to 60% 5.Solid written and oral communication and interpersonal skills 6.Self-motivated: Process/results oriented 7.Able to handle multiple assignments under extreme time constraints and high stress conditions 8.Must have effective team leadership skills with the ability to interface with a wide range of personnel at all levels 9.Must have strong work ethic, sense of urgency and a high energy level 10.Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines 11.Proficiency in Microsoft Office application, required 12.Must be flexible to work days, evenings, weekends/overtime to meet business needs 13.Ability to work with a diversified work force 14.Offers of employment may be contingent upon passing a substance abuse screening test and/ or criminal background check Must be a US Person, that is, must meet one of the following requirements: (1) US Citizenship (born in the US) (2) Permanent Resident --Green Card Holder --Immigrant Visa --Resident Alien Card (3) Intending Citizen --Person lawfully admitted for permanent residence --Person admitted as a refugee --Person granted asylum (4) Dual Passport Holder/Dual Citizenship (with US Citizenship) People are the greatest asset in any Company ...
