Business Development Specialist

Education Required:
High School diploma and 3+ years of proven related experience in business develop, proposal processes, marketing and/or business activities.

Education Desired:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Communications or Marketing.

Skills Required:
The successful applicant will perform Business Development activities that can include identification, qualification, proposal management, and capture manager activities associated with new business.  

Skills Desired:

Experience with proposal management, government contracts, pricing, marketing and capture management.  Individual will support capturing of new business, developing and maintaining client/potential client and industry partner relationships, and identifying and pursuing multiple marketing opportunities.  Experience in marketing research, and technical services to government customers in both DoD and civil agencies.

 

Position Description:

Support business development activities and objectives associated and consistent with corporate strategic objectives.  Perform duties associated with proposal manager to include assisting the capture manager, tracking and tasking business units for their input into proposals, running the proposal processing checklist and other proposal activities.  Perform business development activities that will include identification, qualification, proposal management, and capture manager activities for new business.  Represent UAV Comm during marketing events, and both informal and formal customer presentations.  Assist program managers in developing and capturing work under IDIQ contract vehicles.  Identify opportunities and develop and execute a marketing plan that leads to the capture planning strategy.  Accountable for new business results, developing and maintaining client/potential client and industry partner relationships, and identifying and pursuing multiple marketing opportunities.
